This list is curated from native plant society resources, conservation organizations, gardener recommendations, and web research. We don’t visit every nursery in person, but we do look for:

A clear focus on native plants (not just a token few).
Latin names provided, so you know what you’re getting.
Plants that are regionally appropriate, not just “North American” broadly.
Options for home gardeners (not just wholesale).
Evidence of ethical growing practices (no wild-digging).
We also keep the list fresh: nurseries that go inactive (no updated info for 2+ years) are removed.

It’s not perfect—but it’s the best starting point for finding natives near you.
